1. Who we are

Hooked ("we", "us") provides Glint, an AI-assisted rock and mineral identification service. We act as the data controller for personal data described in this notice.

2. Personal data we collect

• Account data — email address, hashed password (or OAuth identifier from Google).
• Content — photographs and notes you submit for analysis, and the resulting reports.
• Usage data — counts of analyses performed, device and browser identifiers, IP address, log data.
• Support communications — messages you send us.

3. Why we use it

• To create and maintain your account (contract performance).
• To run the AI identification service and store your reports (contract performance).
• To prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents (legitimate interests).
• To improve product quality (legitimate interests).
• To respond to your support requests (contract performance).
• To comply with legal obligations (legal obligation).

4. Sharing

We share personal data with the following categories of recipient:

• Hosting and AI infrastructure providers acting as processors on our behalf.
• Paddle.com Market Limited, our Merchant of Record, which handles checkout, subscription billing, taxes, invoicing and refunds.
• Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where necessary.
• Authorities where required by law.

5. Retention

We retain account data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to handle disputes and meet legal obligations. Photos and reports are retained while your account exists; you may delete individual reports or your account at any time.

6. Your rights

Subject to applicable law you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Email 1hooked2support3@gmail.com to exercise any of these rights. We aim to respond within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls and audit logging, to protect personal data.

8. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for sign-in and security. We do not currently use marketing cookies.

9. International transfers

Where personal data is transferred outside your country we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.
